Story time! I was devastated when one of my favorite characters from Hanyou no Yashahime, Kirinmaru, died. It hit me right in the feels. I was so bummed when I finished Attack on Titan and Eren Yeager died too. Like, seriously? Why do all my favorite characters have to go?
I decided to take a break from watching anime for a bit and focus on some other personal stuff because I was feeling down. One day I was just on Twitter. And out of nowhere, my friend retweets something about this Genshin Impact event. It took me few weeks to get completely hooked on this game. I was just too curious, so I hit up my friend who's really into Genshin Impact. Instead of just asking how to play, I wanted to know her thoughts on the best characters in the game. She introduced me to Lumine, Yae Miko, Zhongli, and Ayato. And she's totally into shipping ZhongLumi and YaeYato!
It actually took me a couple more days to really get into these ships. And then randomly, I came across this tweet about some guy that caught my attention. He's got long white hair, pointed ears, and this... stoic face. It really suits his handsome features. Honestly, he reminded me of Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's older brother. I found out that it was Neuvillette.
I spent so many days researching this 'Hydro Daddy', that now I'm starting to think he and Lumine would make a cute couple! I think they are a perfect match! They just look so good together, I can't help but smile whenever I see them.
I've noticed that NeuviLumi ship doesn't seem to get much exposure in the fandom. I'm always fascinated by the characters I root for as a writer. And lately, I've been craving more content with Lumine and Neuvillette. I need more NeuviLumi "food" on my plate. I'm always craving to learn more about them. And writing fanfiction is how I "satisfy my cravings" for this ship. Can you imagine that? Writing fanfiction about a Traveler and a high-respectable Chief Justice, with all sorts of adorable and romantic scenes, as well as some steamy and spicy moments thrown in for good measure. How does that sound? They need more exposure, just like a brand-new product needs more potential buyers.
I know Neuvillette has a lot of popular ships, but my heart knows what it truly wants. It’s a situation where I don’t have to sacrifice my own happiness just to please others. I’m thankful to my friend who remained understanding when I told her I ship Neuvillette and Lumine. You know what really gets me? When she said, "Just do what makes you happy. Be yourself, even if you're a little out there. The people who stick around are the ones who belong in your life." That really made me feel all warm inside.
Why did I decide to stick with Lumine and Neuvillette?
1. NeuviLumi deserves to be seen! I want to be part of this community where I can share my works dedicated to the two of them. I am more than happy to contribute new fanfiction for NeuviLumi ship this year 2025.
2. Not going to pretend to be innocent here, but I’ve had lots of naughty thoughts since the first day I shipped them. I really get a kick out of spicy scenarios between the Traveler and the Chief Justice when they're alone. It's so exciting and really tickle my imagination!
