I just finished this book and... wow. Just, WOW!!! Where do I even start?

We're talking about a fiercely protective mother here. She takes "mama bear" to a whole new level, and NOT in a cute way. She's one of those parents who would do "anything" to protect their kids. She takes matters into her own hands and things spiral from there. You're left wondering, "Is she justified? Is she losing it?"

Maam...you'll question everything! Mariel Mattera is a master at building tension. She knows how to play with your sense of right and wrong. The tension is insane.

❤️ What I love about this book: ❤️

1. This one is full of twists and turns that'll have you second-guessing everything. Think you've got it figured out? No! Something else happens that throws everything out the window. Secrets start popping up and SURPRISE!!! You're left questioning everyone's motives.

2. The characters are off the rails, and you'll never guess what happens next. This story is fast-paced and I couldn't read fast enough to see what happened next. You'll be making some "what did I just read?" faces.

3. It's a dark ride. This is the kind of thriller that makes you want to talk to someone about it immediately, but YOU CAN'T because you don't want to spoil anything.

4. One more thing. Maybe don't read this book on public transport if you want to avoid weird looks because of the crazy twists and revelations! In my case, I couldn't keep a straight face reading this on the train. It was a silent battle for me. 🤣

If you want a book that will make you double check your own BASEMENT, this is for you! Definitely a must-read for anyone who loves a good mind game! I really want to thank the author for this amazing psychological thriller. Congrats on such a great book!
